Page 1 - Notice that Byte's hair was, once upon a time, rather tame. I have no idea when it became the pointy mass that it is now, but hey, it seems to work for itself. Notice also that Byte's middle name changed--from 'Yestin' (Which I ended up dubbing "too Russian") to 'Yates'
Page 2 - I still love this picture, I think it would make a great cover for a Hurricane Party book if things ever come to fall *falls down on floor laughing her pasty white ass off* At any rate, Byte used to be pretty stylish, too. Trock just hasn't changed that much.
Page 3 - Just some early sketches of Trock and Byte in their natural states of being.
Page 4 - You all recognize this strip in its eventual form... but this was the original sketch. I still love the expressions I captured in this VERY rough sketch, and I especially regret not being able to recreate how damn cool that PS2 looks flying through the air in the second "panel"
Page 5 - A strip that never was. Mostly because I felt there was too much dialogue and too little dynamic movement. I don't refuse to do those sort of strips for any particular reason of artistic integrity, just because it's a boring bitch to draw the exact same scene and poses for three panels. *bleh* I think Trock's expression in the last panel here is really cute, as opposed to Byte, who looks scary. (another note on this one: I thought the joke was a little too vague. You almost need to have read the character page to understandn that Byte is enamoured of all things old school, side-scrollers being high on his list. *shrugs* Dunnow.)
Page 6 - This was going to be a whole SERIES of strips, taking place on the night that Trock got drunk. Originally, Trock and Byte were supposed to have (allegedly) gone to bed together, though neither remembered any particular details in the morning. I decided against it. Seemed to advance the relationship way too far, too fast, adding a dramatic layer I just don't want there. Yet.
Page 7 - Trock's original character sheet. Check it out--he's smiling!
Page 8 - Byte's original character sheet. I love the fact that Byte has very smooth, simple lines composing his figure...he's extremely easy to draw at full-body distance. Hooray for skinny geek boys.
Page 9 - I am very fond of this full-color Size Comparison for Trock and Byte.
